{Everyday in May} - The best advice I was ever given

I want to preface this by saying, I'm not always good at this. My husband could attest.

But, this was the best advice my mother has ever given me. Especially in marriage.

In marriage...it's so easy to notice those small little things. Maybe they irritate you, maybe they cause you to worry, maybe they hurt you a little, etc. There are far too many things in this world to worry about them, to pick on them. We don't need to worry about the toilet seat, the laundry on the floor, not putting things away, etc.. yes they drive me a little crazy, but really...I'm learning not to sweat them. How silly is it to have a disagreement about these small things. From what I've learned so far, it really only makes me upset and my husband just goes on with his day.

Let them go! Enjoy life!

So true! And it's amazing how much "sweating the small stuff" can get to us if we let it.

I am SO bad at this. I'm trying to get better, but it's hard. Great advice!

I agree with you. It's so easy to let the small things gather up and get you down, but once you learn to let go, makes living life much more enjoyable!
