{25 Days of Christmas} - Day 7 - Advent

I had every intention to blog over the weekend, but decided to go shopping instead. :)

Every year, I like to pick an Advent Study as a way of preparing my heart for the season. Since Lia is only 1, we aren't doing this as a family yet, but I hope to when she is a little older.

Waiting Here for You - By Louie Giglio is the study I am working through this year! It seems to be the perfect fit, in preparing and calming my heart!

Other good studies I would recommend.

I did this one last year!

This is from NAPTIME DIARIES

You don't have to use the book for this one, you can just download the SHEREADSTRUTH App

If you have any questions about any of these, let me know!

February Goals

January Goals
1. Read 1 Non-Fiction and 1 Fiction Book: I did half of this, I got through one Fiction book on vacation.
2. Get a Pedicure/Massage - Of course I did this!! It was awesome
3. Early Mornings - This was a failure. Anyone heard of 6 month sleep regression. lol...
4. Unplug one weekend this month - ugh...I failed again.
5. Start Project 365 - I started this, but didn't keep up with it.

February Goals
1. Unplug in the evenings - From when I finish work until Lia is asleep, I'm staying off social media and off my phone. I started this a week ago and I find she has so much fun, when I give her my all.
2. Read my Bible everyday - Since I haven't been getting up early due to Lia's sleep regression, my bible reading has been suffering.
3. Finish Round 1 of Insanity Max 30 - I love this workout. I'm just starting week 3 and it is awesome! I love that I am challenged to beat my previous time.
4. Read 1 Non-Fiction and 1 Fiction Book: My friend Megan wrote a book: "Miracle on Voodoo Mountain" I am planning on reading it this month.
5. Go to the Movies: Claudy and I have been wanting to go to the movies...Hoping it happens this month!
6. Blog more....no need to comment further on that.

Do you guys celebrate Valentine's Day? We did when we lived in Haiti, but last year we didn't really? What do you do for Valentine's Day?

January Goals

It feels like it was yesterday I was writing out my December goals. The month flew by. We are starting our January on Vacation in Florida and enjoying every minute of it.

December Goals
1. Blog 25 Days of Christmas - Ok, ok, it wasn't exactly 25 days, I skipped the weekends and Christmas day, but we are calling this a success. Planning out my blog posts, definitely helped.
2. Complete Advent Studies - I loved the SheReadsTruth Advent!! Awesome
3. Maintain Weightloss During Holidays -  I didn't lose any weight in the last 2 weeks, but I maintained and didn't gain!
4. Rise Early in the Morning -I'm calling this a fail. I tried...It's been a rough month of sleep for the little one.
5. Mail out Christmas cards - Success
6. No Spend December -I did a pretty good job with this one.

January Goals
1. Read 1 Non-Fiction and 1 Fiction Book: I miss reading. Since having Lia I feel I don't have the time, but I do..it's choices.
2. Get a Pedicure/Massage - Claudy gave me this as a present for Christmas...I desperately need to cash in on this.
3. Early Mornings - We will try it again. The Goal is 5:30 or 6:00 :)
4. Unplug one weekend this month - I tried this before and failed :) I know I can do it.
5. Start Project 365 - I did this two years ago and made it to October and quite. I would like to make it all the way through this time.

{25 Days of Christmas} - Day 16 - Christmas Books

I love to read. I have since I was little. I remember staying up late in bed reading, not wanting to put my book down until it was finished.

Every year at my grandparents house, before we could open presents we had to read the Christmas story (usually according to Luke), and a Christmas book. So here are some of my favorites.

What are your favorite Christmas Books? I would love some suggestions!
